I’VE GOT MY LOVE TO KEEP ME WARM
By Irving Berlin

The snow is snowing, the wind is blowing
But I can weather the storm
What do I care how much it may storm?
I’ve got my love to keep me warm

I can’t remember a worse December
Just watch those icicles form
What do I care if icicles form?
I’ve got my love to keep me warm

Off with my overcoat
Off with my glove
I need no overcoat
I’m burning with love

My heart’s on fire, the flame grows higher
So I will weather the storm
What do I care how much it may storm?
I’ve got my love to keep my warm

The Turkey Comma sets in!

Rachel putting "finishing" touches on Thanksgiving dinner. Yumm. I can't put in words how delicious the food was. Jim made an amazing smoked turkey, the greenbean casserole, creamed corn, stuffing, company mashed potatoes, gravy, lefsa, rolls, pumkin cheesecase pie, and apple pie was one to remember. It's amazing to see what good cooks are in the family, and it was so much fun to do it together.

Thanksgiving at Anna's was great. Sarah almost ready to go, but waiting.

Isaac's quilt

Sunrise in Finley
I love how this turned out!

Grandpa showing off the quilt

I had a lot of fun quilting this, Dad had the idea to quilt around each picture so they stand out. It's really neat because you can see the cars, trucks, and transformers on the back side too. I know Isaac will love snuggling with this. I Love you Isaac.

I ended up taking Uno to the vet on Fri. He was hurt badly in a cat fight. I was wondering if his paw had nerve damage because it was not moving. The vet game him some pain meds and antibiotic. He layed around yesterday, but seems to be doing a lot better today. I think he's going to be OK.

I went to the Quilt show in Mayville, it was a lot of fun, such beautiful quilts. I signed up for a machine quilting class, I had so much fun with Isaac's I think I should figure it out better.

Have a great weekend. I love you all

Tollefson Painting Party

Painting Party Participants. Grandma T is taking picture, also Jan and Brian helped. It was full of activity. Dad and I went up on Fri. Weather was great both days, in the upper 80's with a nice breeze. We left about 8am and picked up the paint in Northwood on the way through. We got started preparing the house around 10:00 after we had "coffee" of course. We worked until the misquitos got so bad I had to quit, it was almost dark anyway. Dad finished about a 1/2 hour later. We scrapped and primed 25 windows, finished painting the basement windows and screens so we could get them back in before night. It was warm and it felt wonderful to shower and get into bed.

There was drama. Deb and Ross, Britta, and Jaxon did not make it as we were all hoping. They turned around and went home on the other side of Mpls. because both little ones were hysterical in the car which would make any parent hysterical too. So they went home and hopefully were able to get all the emotions under control again. Jan and Brian were there for a few hours which we all were glad for, but after a couple of hours Brian was miserable, his ankles became so painful they decided they needed to go home. Sandy was a trouper, she painted all the shutters, she had had surger on her foot about two months ago and stood and painted 10 of them with her foot up on a chair.

Dad and I got started about 8:00am on Sat. Trying to get as much trimmed and fixed before the rest of the crew showed up. Sandy came on her own and Bob got there next. Jim and Sarah came about 11:30 Sat. Sarah helped Grandma in the kitchen while Jim painted and was a big help in putting things back in order. Bob was great too as we all worked hard to get it done. Dad and I had to get going about 6:00 pm because we had to drive home before it got dark as we do not have lights on the trailer. It was a good excuse to get it done and get home. It was such a good feeling to get it done for Grandpa and Grandma.

Dad and I are thankful for a good day of rest today!

We had such a beautiful day on Saturday. Barb and Deb visited us. We sat outside and enjoyed the great weather. We had two fly swatter that kept us busy as we visited and relaxed the afternoon away. Brian and Jan made their famous potato salad and bronto burgers (huge) I know Martin would love them and fresh corn from the Finley Farmers Market.
I also finished little baby McKays quit too, fun!

Anna's pet frog

Rachel's pink fishing rod

We had such a great weekend! Anna, Sean, Sarah, Jim, Rachel, & Weston all came to visit. It all started with everyone making it for a bruch at about 10:30 am. Jan and Brian also joined us. Of course the conversation went to Sarah and Jim's baby and the due date. Sarah told us the due date was November 27. Then Rachel said "And mine is April 4". At first we thought it might be an April fools joke, it took us a few seconds to understand what it really meant. We are all excited about the news and I'm already thinking about that little quilt I will need to make.

The day was beautiful and we were very busy. Eating, fishing, target practicing with guns, miniature golfing. We ended the day around a fire roasting marshmellows and playing Ladder Ball until we couldn't see anymore. What a great day.

Another event that happend was Uno did not come home Fri. night and was not back in the morning. I was sad because I thought something bad had happened to my kitty. But around noon Jan called "Uno's back". He was really hungry and very dirty. He smelled like oil, so I think he must have been closed in someones garage. I am very happy to have my kitty back.

What a great weekend we had!
